Ms Elena Neidhart is an associate in Lenz & Staehelin’s Litigation and Arbitration group in Geneva, Switzerland. She advises clients in matters of international arbitration and litigation before Swiss courts. She specialises in complex international commercial contracts, including agency and distribution, joint ventures, post- M&A disputes and international trade.

Ms Elena Neidhart is a member of the Swiss Bar Association (SAV/FSA), Geneva Bar Association (OdA), Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), Young Arbitrators Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce and Russian and CIS Arbitration Network.

Since 2013, Elena has worked at the Department of Private International Law of the University of Geneva where she supervises the Geneva Willem C.Vis. Commercial Arbitration Moot team. 

Elena is fluent in French, English, Russian and Ukrainian.

In a Yukos-related case, the Swiss Supreme Court held that an interim award on jurisdiction may not be sought to be set aside if the arbitral tribunal has not taken a final decision on its jurisdiction but only addressed some of the jurisdictional objections in the interim award, leaving the other objections to be decided in the final award together with the merits of the case.
